Empowered Women In Trades (EWIT) is a Melbourne-based nonprofit dedicated to increasing female and non-binary representation in Australia’s skilled trades. Founded by Hacia Atherton, EWIT aims to raise the current 3% female workforce in trades to 30% by 2030. The organisation offers immersive programs, including the EWIT Trade Academy and corporate workshops, designed to empower participants with hands-on skills and industry connections. EWIT also hosts the annual EWIT Gala and Awards to celebrate achievements and drive cultural change within the industry.
